Greensboro and surrounding Triad City region of
North Carolina form a major transportation hub for train, bus, and air travel.

in the city of Greensboro making travel to other regions
of the state and other locations in the city very easy. Below we’ve listed the contact information for various forms of travel that you might need, as well as a bit of information on the Public Transportation Division for the City of Greensboro.
 The Greensboro
Department of Transportation is committed to
making travel around the city safer and easier and only for a small fee.
Their mission is to serve Greensboro residents and visitors with efficient public transportation services. Greensboro has multiple public transportation services to assist people with different needs and destinations. The GTA operates bus services Monday through Saturday along fourteen routes and seven evening and Sunday routes.
 In addition to the Greensboro Transportation Authority bus system, Greensboro also has the SCAT system for people with special needs. SCAT is the GTA’s shared ride transportation service for people who have disabilities that prevent them from riding the fixed route bus. These services are offered for people with short term disabilities, long term disabilities, or conditional situations. They have two types of pick up services known as door-to-door and curb-to-curb depending on the specific person and
their needs.
This public transportation system offers express routes between the many schools and universities and has select stops along four routes with easy access to the Greensboro Transit Authority System.
